We are the Pupil Referral Unit for
Key Stage 3 (11 - 14) students in Sheffield.
The Service has 2 sites in Sheffield
The Clarkehouse and The Riverside Centre.
Both have a specific focus.
Students are referred from their school for
Re-engagement [or are permanently excluded] to our Riverside site.
After 6 to 12 weeks work intensive work on behaviour/self-esteem/learning skills students usually return to mainstream. This happens after presentation to the Reintegration and Placement Panel [RAPP].
Students who need to stay with us for longer and/or who have more complex needs transfer to our smaller Clarkehouse site. They can still return to school.
Students returning to mainstream are supported by KS3 Inclusion Service staff in school.
